Plans that Work – Resolutions
Anatomy of a plan~
P.L.A.N.S.
P– Pray for direction.
L– Listen to counsel.
A– Always let God have the final word.
N– No need to rush. God’s timing is the right one.
S. Success should always be measured by God’s standards and not men’s standards.
–>Wisdom from Proverbs
I wrote this acronym for the word PLANS from these verses. It is not meant to be your ABCs of life, but more as key components that should be part of your decision-making process.
Best advice for the New Year! A word for you!
New Year advice~>
Trust steadily in God, Hope unswervingly,
Love extravagantly.
How does love work?
Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.
We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us! But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation:
Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly.
May you be empowered by God’s love to live a life full of grace Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control and yes, LOVE.
*~Your greatest personal achievement will always be
to allow yourself to be loved by God.
God is Love ~ Love changes everything~*

Holiday Traditions Countdown!
The cheerful heart has a continual feast.
Baking Time Countdown
Yesterday, I received an unexpected bag of Christmas goodies. The treats were so much fun to receive that we are paying it forward. To receive bake goods and treats just brings the holiday cheers home is a special way. It is one of those special things of the season. In the bag there were different kinds of cookies and rice treats. The goodies were great, but to know that someone took the time to prepare it, and put it together as a gift for us made it so much more sweeter, and more special than a store-bought item. It was a homemade gift one that we enjoyed and was received with joy too. It is all gone now. 🙂 Tomorrow we are baking cookies. We will be baking oatmeal cookies, chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter cookies. I will also try to add bananas cookies too, but no promise there. lol I think cookies are perfect choice for food gifts because you can try one and know if they are good before you send them out.
Do you have any Christmas traditions that you follow with your family?

Holiday Eating :) Ahhh! ->Proverbs to the Rescue!
Bring all of you to God’s table

Oh, It is great to enjoy good food. Ask me how I know?
*What does Proverbs have to do with me and what I want to eat you may say. *Who are you to talk to me about by personal eating habits? *Common! *We are talking about food and God has bigger things to do. *He is interested in my spirit, you might be thinking right now…
I agree, he does care about your spirit; nevertheless I want to remind you that God is interested in you, the whole enchilada and not just the filling or the topping. He gave the best of Himself because He believes that all of you, was worth it. He made you as a whole individual and is not just interested in parts of you, but all of you. When you care for all of you, you have a stronger you.
God is interested in
all of you,
the whole enchilada –
not just the filling
or the topping.
Tell me, when you woke up this morning and got out of bed, did your soul stay in bed daydreaming while your spirit went to church to pray and your body ate some food in the kitchen? No.
Some people are so spiritually minded that they neglect their body by overeating or lack of exercise. Others put too much emphasis on the physical man while neglecting and starving their spiritual man. Be careful and stay away from the extremes.
Did you know that when your physical condition is not properly cared for it affects your spiritual condition and when your spiritual condition is not cared for it affects your physical condition?
20My son, pay attention to what I say;
listen closely to my words.
21Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;
22for they are life to those who find them
and health to a man’s whole body.
This blog is framed on the book of Proverbs, but the entire Bible speaks to us as a unit and not parts. God made you as a whole individual and He is not just interested in part of you, but all of you. Receive nourishment from the Bible for every area of your life not just your spirit or soul, but your body as well.

Deliver those who are drawn toward death, And hold

Parable of the Good Samaritan Luke 10:30-37
30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denari and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’36“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” 37The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him. Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
“Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:39
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. Ephesians 5:1
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Matthew 25:40
Let The Children Come
God loves children. He does not discriminate against children. He does ask us parents, to train them. Do not underestimate your children’s faith. They can hear from God too. They can walk a victorious life in God’s love and grace just like adults do.
May your children grow up to be your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
Matthew 19:14
But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
Psalm 127:3
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
Matthew 18:10
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.
Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Proverbs 29:17
Discipline your son, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your heart.
Mark 10:13-16
And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
Matthew 18:4
Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Proverbs 29:15
The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.
Proverbs 15:20
A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother.
Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.” Luke 9:37
X- Rated Christmas -huh?
Welcome to the world of Xmas not to be confused with Christmas.
Now playing in a church near you! Rated X for the extras.
~~~
~~~
***********************************************************************************
Xmas is the season where some extras have been carefully added and served to us on a platter of deceptions. Yes, with a thread of deceit they bring truth and lies together to change the true story of the birth of Jesus Christ. The sad thing is that they have done it with so much craftiness that many Christians fail to see it. Dear friends, the story of Mary, Jesus and Joseph does not need to be reinvented, just retold.
*With all respect to all those who minister and help at pregnancy centers, let me say one thing. I do believe in the great work that many of these centers do, but the reality of teen pregnancies that we deal with today, has nothing to do with the story of Christmas. Mary was not a victim of teen pregnancy.
The story of the birth of Jesus, as told in the Bible can be found in the books of Matthew 1:18 – 2:23 and –Luke 1:26 – 2:40 .
Buy truth, and do not sell it; buy wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

Disarming Fear – Before the Explosion Comes -1-
Yes, Fear can be disarmed!!
Walk with me, and tag along, not because I am the answer to all your questions about fear, but because my journey and triumph over it, just might be the encouragement you need to take a stand against your fears. Don’t fear to face fear. Fear specializes in shadow making, but you have the power to turn the light on! It is my desire to help empower you to face and disarm your fears. . Fear is a shadow, lets turn on the light together. This could help you, or help you, help a friend.
What is fear? *Why me? *Why do we fear? *Symptoms of fear *Facts and myths about fear *What does this world tell us about fear? *What does the Word say about fear? *How to handle fear? *Why do I still fear? *Will I ever win this battle?

What is FEAR?
First things first, lets take the caps off. -> What is fear?
There are two kinds fears.
A- The first one is healthy. It is a distressing negative sensation induced by a perceived threat. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger. In short, fear is the ability to recognize danger leading to an urge to confront it or flee from it.
B- The second is an extension of the first, but it is not healthy. It is out of sync. It serves no good purpose. It is a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil or pain, whether the threat is real or imagined. You are in torment. It is the feeling of being afraid with no end in sight. It is unfounded and results in anxiety. It usually occurs without any certain or immediate external threat. These threats are perceived to be uncontrollable or unavoidable, and in extreme cases of fear (terror) a freeze or paralysis response is very common.
WOW!!! It sure sounds like a big bad wolf. It is not!
Please keep in mind a neat acronym that I will share here with you in just a moment. Make sure to write it , sing it, memorize it… Do what ever you need to do to get it in your system. Why? It will help you put things in perspective. The first step to tackle this “little beast” is to name it and know what it is. You want to look to it square in the eye that which you plan and will defeat. Let fear know that you stand above it. You are in charge.

Why
me?
Dear friend, you are not alone. Everyone deals with fear. It’s just how we deal with it, and what we focus on. Remember these feelings will never grow beyond your control. You are not powerless.
*Fear is false evidence appearing to be real. It specializes in shadow making, but you have the power to turn the light on!*
Lets turn on the LIGHT!
Be free from the torment of fear!
***I am free and you can be free too!***

Live ~ Love~ ~Laugh~ ~ and Live some more!
Don’t count every moment
in the day, make every moment
in the day count.
There are these moments… special moments, when a thought, a word, or a truth suddenly comes to life deep inside of you. These moments catch your attention because they open your eyes to see something new or they help you understand something in a greater way. I call these moments heart treasures because they have the power to change and define us in so many ways. The greatest thing about these treasures is that their true worth is only revealed when we give them away? Share your moments, share your journey… give life.

Be confident, fully persuaded, and convinced of this truth! Trust more in His ability and power to guide you and get you from point A to point B, than in your own strengths or weaknesses. He is molding each one of us and He does not leave things unfinished. Stay in the potter’s hand.

A cheerful heart is a good medicine; But a broken spirit drieth up the bones.
Proverbs 17:22
Wow. A heart full of happiness and love is so important that it’s considered a healing agent. At the same time, negativity and bitterness is enough to weaken your entire body.
Makes you want to take happiness a bit more seriously, doesn’t it? Yes!
I think the ability to be content and enjoy one’s life is a gift. Oh wow, it’s more than a gift. It can be a shield against calamity. It’s the umbrella between you and the rain. It doesn’t mean everything will always be perfect and you’ll never get sick, but it can heal you if and when you do. Laughter brings life to your heart, body mind and soul.
So, be inspired to get happy, my friends. It does your body good and cheers all those around you too! Dare to be happy! Loosen up, pick your battles, and don’t hold on to things too tight. Enjoy life.

I am Broken!
“As a man thinks,
in his heart so is he”
Proverbs 23:7
Just like a constant drop of water on a rock eventually leaves a mark on the rock, so will words when they are heard over and over and over.
Spoken words are powerful.
The numbers of words filtered through your ears is more powerful than their source. And even if you tried to shut down all the sources that you believe are a menace, you cannot shut down the one with the greatest impact. This would be your own voice. Whether you realize it or not your words are constantly defining your reality. You are defining your world.
Thoughts – words – actions ->>is how the movie of your life rolls. You think, speak and act accordingly, so be kind to yourself. Speak truth. Negative thoughts distort your self-image. Did you know you are your first best friend forever? If what you hear yourself saying is not helping you, then you might want to consider changing your thoughts for God’s thoughts. You may say right now… but what I say is my truth! Yes, you are right! You think about it, you say it, and you live it out…
Renew your thoughts.
How about you renew your mind? Even though you may be a new creature in Christ it takes time to renew your thoughts. I am still working on mine. It is on ongoing process. Create new thoughts based on God’s words. Redefine your reality with His words. His words are true. God is for you! He loves you, has thoughts of peace for you, sings over you, is with you and has plans for you. (Jeremiah 29:11) Why would you not agree with His words? They are life.
“As a man thinks, in his heart so is he”
Proverbs 23:7
Every time you put God’s Word into your thought life, you are making an investment… Change your thoughts – Change your words and Change your Life!

Curse the darkness or light a candle?
Curse the darkness or light a candle?
I always try to make it a point to speak to parents who have well-behaved children when I am out. I like to encourage and commend them on the good job they are doing. I also tell the children that they are blessed to have parents who love them enough to take the time to teach them. When I see undesirable behavior in children or adults I make sure to not give them an audience. I don’t stare at parents from a judgment pedestal. I move along and say a little prayer for peace and wisdom to be welcomed in their midst. Even the best of us parents and our children have had our off days. Right? Yes… Be kind and patient. We all have room to grow in this area.
Bible Truths
Proverbs 13:24 Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.
Proverbs 29:17 Discipline your son, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your heart.
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
Psalm 127:3-5 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
~*May you have a peaceful day and a peaceful night ~*
When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet. Proverbs 3:24
With the days moving faster and faster, and distractions coming from every direction, it is nice to lie down and feel the comfort of God’s arms around us at the end of each day. Thank You Jesus for your Love!
Follow the Leader?
Only if they are going the right way!

My child, if sinners try to lead you into sin,
turn your back on them and do not follow!
Proverbs 1:10
My child, if sinners try to lead you into sin,
turn your back on them and do not follow!
Proverbs 1:10
When tempted or invited to do what is wrong, there is always a powerful moment where you can choose not to go the wrong way, but if you miss it, it is ok to make a u-turn and move yourself away.
It is easier said than done, only when we try to do it in our own strength, but with God’s help and commitment on our part it can be done. With every good choice we make we will feel more and more confident in our daily walk. We can be strong with His strength!
In Christ we can do all things!
2012 Happy New Year!!! Oops too early!
Today is a gift, tomorrow is a promise…
Thanksgiving->>Christmas>> New year ??
Where did the days in between go?
Enjoy the gift of today!
There are only two ways to live your life when you don’t see it as a gift.
One is as though nothing matters so you drift away day by day, and you miss today, because it wasn’t important. You are a Dead Man Walking.
The other is as though everything today is about tomorrow so you live way to fast, and you miss today, because it wasn’t important. You are a Dead Man Running.
Don’t be in a rush, living from one holiday to the next. 2012 will come soon enough. How about we enjoy the rest of this year first, and then go to the next one?
If we live our days as if there were a pause, fast forward, or rewind button on them, we would surely miss today ~> the gift of now.
Tomorrow is a promise; keep it dear to your heart.
Today is a gift ~> unwrap it!

A Word from Proverbs 3:21-26
Dear friend, guard Clear Thinking and Common Sense with your life;
don’t for a minute lose sight of them. They’ll keep your soul alive and well,
they’ll keep you fit and attractive. You’ll travel safely, you’ll neither tire nor trip. You’ll take afternoon naps without a worry, you’ll enjoy a good night’s sleep. No need to panic over alarms or surprises, or predictions that doomsday’s just around the corner, Because God will be right there with you; he’ll keep you safe and sound.
